Daily Prayer

Praying HandsYou are absolutely missing out if you do not have a daily prayer life. I don’t mean just saying the blessing at meals, or short prayers said for daily life exigencies, etc. Those are all good things and you should continue doing them. After all, the Apostle Paul wrote the we should pray without ceasing (Eph 6:18; 1 Thes 5:17).

What I mean, though, is a daily time set apart specifically for praying and listening to God in a private place away from distractions, and a place where your prayers can be made in secret to God (Mat 6:6).

I personally do this in the mornings, but you can do this any time of day. I go out in my workshop where I close the door and pray to God and listen to Him. There is nothing this world has to offer that can replace my daily time with my Lord.

When my prayer time ends, I am refreshed because I have glorified my Lord (Psa 86:12), confessed my sins (1 John 1:9), thanked Him for all the blessings, brought my petitions before Him (Php 4:6), and cast all my cares upon Him (1 Pet 5:7). Then I am filled with the joy of my Lord and experience His grace all day long. If you are not doing this, you are really, I mean really missing out!

Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior? He is going to return to the world soon. Are you ready? When He does if you do not know Him as your Savior, you will join all those who do not know Him in “Outer Darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Mat 22:13-14).
