When some evangelical churches offer an invitation at the end of the service, there are several things many do today that are incompatible with the Scriptures. The ones I wish to discuss in this post are:
There is an attempt by certain men in certain denominations (mine included) to change the scripture to meet their own traditions and beliefs.
Exo 20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
1. The patriarch Jacob (Gen 32:28; 35:10) 2. The physical nation of Israelites (Gen 47:27) 3. The northern ten tribes opposed to the two southern tribes (1 Sam 11:8) 4. Spiritually, all of God’s people, both Jew and Gentile (Rom 1:16; 9:6, 24; 10:12; Gal 3:28; Col 3:11) 5. Jesus Christ Himself (Isa 42:1-3; Isa [...]
Christian was a name that the people of Antioch in Syria gave to the followers of Christ in their city.
Originally published 7/31/2001 (Mat 16:13) “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?”
There are two places in Scripture that mention the Synagogue of Satan. They are:
(HEAR O ISRAEL) שׁמע ישׂראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד(sh’mah yisrael yehowah [adonay] elohenu yehowah [adonay] ekhad)“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD” Listen to it.

1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. This is a completely new rework of a study published at the old website. In First Timothy, Paul is giving Timothy instructions about guiding the church at Ephesus to observe proper doctrine. Here [...]
(Acts 11:19-30) Antioch in Syria (modern Antakya) was the third greatest city in the Roman Empire and its influence was felt far and wide. Only Alexandria and Rome were greater. In the United States, the three largest cities are New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Antioch, then, was like Chicago. Just as Chicago has a [...]
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is rejecting His offer of salvation to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as one’s Savior. If a person rejects Jesus Christ as Savior when the Holy Spirit opens his eyes to his need of a Savior, then that person cannot be forgiven his sins.
The temple workers had cut and split wood for several days preparing for the solemn rites to be performed today. They began early in the morning to build a fire in the fire pit.
When studying the Bible, one should never take one or a few verses out of context and make a doctrinal point out of the particular verse or verses. If not understood in the context of the issue and surrounding passages, we often obtain a false reading of the particular scripture. Jeremiah 10:3-4 is a passage [...]
Paul tells us that our fight in this life is not against other people, but against Satan and his minions. Even though we may face persecution from our human enemies, it is the spirits of wickedness that actually oppose us and incite our enemies against us. This is the source of all the strife we [...]
Foreword This is the first part of a five part series. I do believe that the church will be caught up in the clouds to be with our Lord for eternity. I consider myself pre-trib only because I believe that the so-called rapture takes place before the seven bowls of the wrath of God, which [...]
These are the basic events of the rapture of the church with a small amount of commentary. We will be gathered back to Jesus and taken to heaven with Him after the last trumpet, which I believe to be the Seventh Trumpet of Revelation. The Bible says, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall [...]
Many teach that the Olivet Discourse, which is the prophecy in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, does not apply to the church, but only to the Jews (and Israel). We may easily answer this charge by examining the brief conversation the disciples have with Jesus before He begins the Olivet Discourse. Matthew 24:1-3 [...]

Some teach that the “last trump” in 1 Corinthians 15:52, and the “trump of God” of 1 Thessalonians 4:16 is not the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15. In fact, they will give many examples of trumpets: trumpets for prayer, trumpets for war, trumpets to signify events, etc. However, none of these examples has any thing [...]
(Final Topic) Subtopic A—The Seventy Sevens Daniel 9:24-27 “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the [...]
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. This is a five part study [...]
God’s Holy Spirit produces fruit in His Children. The following is a list of the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23 in four English translations.
