About Pastor Mark Oaks
Pastor Mark Oaks joined Pleasant Home Baptist Church as Pastor in July 1998. He has a Master of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla Georgia. He has a Bachelor degree from the same seminary. He is also a Graduate of Biblical Studies from the Institute of Biblical Studies, which is an adjunct of Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia.
Pastor Oaks is an expository preacher. He preaches and teaches from the King James Bible verse by verse, which is the best way to understand God's Word. The Bible is the basis of all of his sermons.
Pastor Oaks is retired from the United States Air Force (1990). He and his wife, Cheryl, live in the country near Milton, Florida. He has nineteen years ministry experience beginning with lay postitons in the mid eighties. He was ordained a deacon in 1988, and a pastor in 1993.
